Certificate of Origin
Every exporter requires the Certificate of Origin for clearance of goods at importing port. The Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA) is officially authorised by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India to issue `Certificate of Origin' (Non-preferential) in respect of goods exported from India.
PROCEDURE FOR ISSUANCE OF 'CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN
The exporters will have to furnish the following -
I. Application for 'Certificate of Origin' (as per Annexure-I)
II. One time Indemnity Bond (as per Annexure-II) to be typed on Rs. 100/- non judicial stamp paper. The exporters will be provided Registration No. by the Association which they have to indicate as and when apply for Certificate.
or
If it is only single shipment, the Indemnity Bond should be submitted on non judicial stamp paper of Rs.20/- (as per Annexure III).
III. Duplicate or Self Certified photo copy of the Invoice duly filled in with the following details.
1. Invoice Number & Date
2. Exporters Name & Address
3. Consignees Name & Address
4. Country of Origin - Goods are of INDIAN ORIGIN
5. Mode of Shipment - Name of the Vessel
6. Port of Loading and Port of Discharge (Final Destination)
7. Description of Goods, Quantity, Gross Weight, Net Weight, Shipping Marks/Container No. etc.
IV. Duplicate or self certified photo copy of Bill of Lading.
V. 4+1 Certificate of Origin duly completed by the exporter on pre printed form provided by the Association on
payment, as under.
Certification Charges:
The exporters will have to furnish the following -

The exporter desires to obtain `Certificate of Origin' may forward the prescribed application along with necessary documents as referred above and the payment in cash or Cheque /Demand Draft payable at Mumbai to the Association and in turn the Association will issue the `Certificate of Origin' set of 4 copies, to the concerned exporters.
