The Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA), an ISO 9001:2000 organisation, was founded in 1963 with the objectives to help & foster development of Solvent Extraction Industry in India. Over the years, the Association's scope and sphere of activities has expanded & today it is the premier association of Vegetable Oil Industry & Trade in India, having 835 members spread throughout the length and breadth of the country representing the entire gamut of the vegetable oil industry & ancillary industries to the vegetable oilseed sector. SEA is also recognised by the Ministry of Agriculture as a Non Government Organisation (NGO) and as a Trade Promotion Organisation (TPO) by the Ministry of Commerce and has been given representation on various bodies & committees set up by the Government of India.

SEA is committed to the development of Vegetable Oil Industry in India & its members through a process of continuous improvement it has been disseminating updated information, price trends in the domestic & international markets, Government policies & statistical scenario of oilseeds, oils sector. In its endeavor to impart education & public awareness it has organised various National & International Seminars, Workshops, Published News Circulars and other publications on a regular basis.

With "Service" as its Motto, SEA today is marching towards its goal to strengthen & take the Indian Vegetable Oil Industry to new heights.
